Pre-historic Lakhudiar Cave Paintings, Almora (40 Kms)

The Lakhudiyar cave shelter is located in the Barechhina village of Uttarakhand's Almora district. Situated along the Suyal River bank, it presents a wonderful depiction of human life in the Stone Age. The shelter contains finger-painted images of animals, people, and tectiforms in the colours black, red, and white. Due to the fact that it is an archaeological rock for India, it has become an ASI designated historical site and a piece of history that needs to be appreciated and conserved.
