Geo Tourism

Geo-Tourism

A place's ecology, heritage, aesthetics, culture, and general well-being are all part of a place's specific geographical character, and these elements are all preserved or enhanced through geotourism.

Tourism based on geological features is known as geotourism. It has been frequently referred to as a form of tourism that is either "geological" or "geographic" in orientation over time. The latter view was more comprehensive and included it, signifying a new "approach" to tourism, whereas the earlier view saw geotourism as a "kind" of tourism in the same vein as ecotourism. We previously believed that geotourism is niche form of natural area tourism that focuses on geology and landscape. Four years later, we revised the concept to include the possibility of engaging in geotourism through either "individual visits" or "guided tours" to geological sites/features.
